Beat The Waves On The Bali Island

You must already know sports surfing. The most visited surf destination is the island of Bali. There are many beaches with waves that are challenging and desirable. Before we discuss some of the beaches in Bali that became a favorite surfing place, we know the history of surfing. Previously in Hawaii, there was an ancient tradition called "he'e nalu which means the shift of a wave." According to the ancient Hawaiian culture that the sea that has the waves is a mirror of an emotion, surfing is used to test the ability to risk wealth, white people came to Hawaii, the culture changed when Captain Cook in the late 18th century came. Since then surfing has become a sport with no traditional, cultural and spiritual elements.

In 1900 'Waikiki Beach Boys' (a group of young guardians') made this sport even more famous. The first surfer George Freeth took advantage of surfing as a railway promotion, then in 1915 Duke Kahanamoku (an important person in the history of surfing) introduced surfing to Australia. Design papa skating increasingly famous in the 1920s that make this sport much-loved and become the beginning of the competence of surfing.

Changes from year to year embed surfboards in designs such as shark fin shapes that make surfboards lighter. In 1950 was created 'Wetsuit' (clothing used in water spot activities) that made surfers last longer in the water. The popularity of surf climbed up when Dale Velzy became the first sponsored sponsor for a very lively campaign. Surf-themed films such as the movie 'Gidget and Endless Summer' make this water sport a trend and a hobby for the whole world. Now surfing is not only a Hawaiian culture but a business that promises big profits.

Surfing is also an adrenaline and extreme water sport. The most popular place of surfers is on the south coast of Bali, because there are many clusters of coral that make waves getting bigger, and it becomes an exciting challenge for surfers. Here's a list of beaches that become a favorite of surfers like Padang-Padang Beach, Impossible Beach, Suluban Beach, Kuta Beach, Seminyak Beach, Canggu Beach, Keramas Beach and many other beaches. If you cannot surf there is a class to learn to surf because before you start on the beach you should be able to surf so you are safe and safe.

Recognize God’s Hair In The Western Temple — Rambut Siwi Temple

Symbol of Dang Hyang Niratha at Rambut Siwi Temple

Many interesting and sacred stories from Bali. One of them in the west of this island, there is a temple that has a history that makes us unnerved. Rambut Siwi Temple is located in Yeh Embang Kangin Village, Mendoyo Sub-district, Jembrana District. This temple stands on the cliffs of Yeh Embang beach. Rambut Siwi Temple is one of Pura Dang Kahyangan Jagat (a place to worship and honor teachers of holy teachers such as Reverend, Maha Rsi, and the Empu). The philosophical history of the temple is related to the holy journey of Dang Hyang Niratha or often called Dang Hyang Dwijendra who has the title of Pedanda Sakti Wauh Rauh. Calm, peaceful atmosphere with a spiritual aura is very supportive when doing meditation in this temple, other than that its direct position facing natural scenery of the Indian Ocean adds to the beauty of this temple. In the past when Dang Hyang Dwi Jendra came to Bali, he started his journey from the west continued in Jembrana area turn south and turned back east along the beach. When he passes the beach, meet with a sweeper in a garden. When the Pastor passed, he greeted and asked not to rush to pause. The sweeper says that the mercy is a haunted place, all passers-by must worship if it will not be pounced by a tiger. He asked Dang Hyang Niratha to pray in the prahyangan, and he obeyed him. In front of a pelinggih (place of worship) he did yoga, Angghsana Cika (Calming down, concentrating with only the tip of the nose) and unite the soul to Ida Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa (God).

Rambut Siwi Temple

When he did yoga, suddenly pelinggih that worship collapsed and happen was seen by the sweeper. She cries and asks Dang Hyang Niratha to have the Prahyangan repaired and returned to its original state, so there is a place for worship. He felt sorry to see the building “Pelinggih” (Media symbolic for pray) that collapsed and sad to see the sweeper who was crying. Then Dang Hyang Niratha unleashes a bun (hair tie) and pulls out his a strand of hair and then goes to the sweeper to put in the Pelinggih in Prahyangan. The sweeper obeyed, the miracle happened that Prahyangan had collapsed back into a whole. He gave the advice to pray diligently in order to obtain salvation and asked to keep a hair of his then placed in the pelinggih to be revered. Sweepers obey what the Reverend tells. This is the history that made this temple changed its name to “Rambut Siwi Temple”.

Yeh Embang Beach

Not felt that day was late and he intend to spend the night in the temple. Many people come here to ask for religious advice and ask for medicine. He also gave lectures on the teachings of Hindu religion, and bhakti against Ida Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa to live in this world prosperous. Be warned when every Wednesday Umanis War Talent (Hindu Calendar), held a pujawali (pray) in this temple to beg for the safety of the village.

In the afternoon the atmosphere in The Temple is very calm, peaceful and coupled with the beautiful sunset view. Eliminating the Burden of Mind With Yoga

Problems certainly make a burden in our minds. Problems can arise from family, friends, and work. Sometimes we are preoccupied with daily activities that cause to forget to remove the burden in our minds so that we seek escape in the wrong way which causes us to get worse. One way to get rid of the burden of our lives is to find a way out like to calm down by means of yoga. The word "yoga" comes from Sanskrit, yoga means concentrating the mind to control the five senses. Yoga originated from India that appeared around 3000 BC. Another opinion mention, the notion of yoga is derived from the word yuj, which means the relationship, the relationship between the personal spirit and the universal spirit that is not personal. But Rsi Patanjali defines "Cittawwriti Nirodhah," the control of the mind moves in the mind.

Yogis (believers of yoga) who believe in pantheism (the belief that the world and everything in it is God) seek unity with the soul of the whole world. The atheist yoga (not acknowledging the existence of God) seeks perfect recompense from all other souls and perfect self-knowledge. The last glory to be sought is the glory of perfect illumination. Yoga practitioners use physical discipline to achieve it: sanctification, cleanliness, samadhi and practice. Someone who does yoga should be able to concentrate on creating harmony and balance between soul, body, and mind. Yoga also has many health benefits. The teaching of Yoga was built by Maharshi Patanjali and is a very popular teaching among Hindus. The teaching of yoga is a practical science of the Vedic teachings. Yoga is rooted in the word Yuj which means relating, ie the encounter of the individual spirit (atman / purusa) with the universal spirit (Paramatman / Mahapurusa). Maharshi Patanjali defines yoga as Cittavrttinirodha ie the cessation of mind movement.

When yoga is done, you will definitely get the peace and the burden of your life will be reduced. There are many yoga movements that we can do such as yoga movement bhujangasana, yoga movement dhanurasana, yoga movement tadasana, yoga movement pavanamuktasana. In Bali there is one villa that has activities of yoga Taman Sari Villa. Taman Sari Villa is located at Jalan Raya Denpasar-Gilimanuk, Pura Kerta Laksana No 88.
